Shan Translation ("Shan Translation," "we," "us," or "our") offers professional translation, transcription, data entry, desktop publishing, typing, subtitling, digitizing, and proofreading services for a fee agreed upon by you prior to the commencement of work. It is assumed that you, as the buyer of these services, have reviewed the quotation and clearly understood the deliverables before making the actual purchase.
If a term is not defined in this Customer Refund Policy, the definitions set out in the Terms and conditions shall apply.
You acknowledge and agree that by using Shan Translation, you indicate that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the terms of this Customer Refund Policy.
This Customer Refund Policy applies when (a) a Customer orders a translation; (b) such Customer pays for the translation; (c) we confirm the order; and (d) the Customer either does not receive the translation or the translation quality is not human translation. Each Customer agrees that any decisions we make regarding the application of this Customer Refund Policy, or the amounts (including partial amounts) we reimburse, are at our sole discretion and such decisions are final and binding.
To claim under this Customer Refund Policy, you must:
a. Advise us by e-mail (at languages@shantranslation.com) within one month of receiving the document. We are open to reviewing the document anytime after you receive it. Additions won’t be made, but a review can always be done.
b. In case of a quality issue, we will review the document and send it to a second translator for proofreading. In case of our default, we will either refund the amount or provide a new document, depending on the customer’s choice.
Refunds
1. We have a policy of refunding the amount immediately after receiving the refund request if we have agreed on the terms of the refund. The refunded amount can also be kept in the customer’s account for use with other services within the next 30 days. After 30 days, it will be credited back to the client.
2. Refunds for any project due to cancellation ordered by the client can be as follows:
2.1) The portion of charges for work already performed is not refundable.
2.2) If Shan Translation receives a cancellation request prior to the completion of an order, the charges for the portion of work not yet performed may be refundable.
Limitation of Liability
Shan Translation Pte. Ltd. limits its liability to the cost associated with the translation document. Beyond the translation document, we do not hold any liability. In case of processing a refund, the refund amount will be limited to the amount paid by the client for the document.
Miscellaneous
There may be instances of human error for which we may invoke our penalty policy. Our penalty policy may include penalties of up to 30%. We reserve the right to change, add, or modify the Customer Refund Policy at any time without prior notice. It is your responsibility to periodically check this Customer Refund Policy for changes.
